2010 East Coast Tour

LincolnatNightIn commemoration of the 60th edition of the All-City Band, we are rolling forward with plans for a 2010 East Coast Tour. The trip which will include performances in Washington D.C. and New York City and will be a 6 day, five night tour July 2nd – July 7th, 2010. Highlights of this trip will be a fourth of July Performance in the National Independence Day Parade and a master class in New York City.

ELIGIBILITY
We are still actively recruiting members to participate in this tour. Students in the graduating classes of 2009-2014 are eligible to participate. We will be accepting trip registrations through October 15, 2010. Night view of: Lincoln Memorial, a symbol of freedom attracts anyone who seeks inspiration & hope; Korean Memorial, five years after the end of World War II, One-&-a-half million American men & women struggled during the conflict; Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the names of more than 58,000 who gave their lives or remain missing are listed on black granite panels in the order they became casualties; Washington Monument: The famous marble obelisk, honoring America’s first president, is the tallest structure in the nation’s Capitol and will remain so by law. Evening tour: Jefferson Memorial: A 19-foot bronze statue of the 3rdPresident; FDR Memorial: 4 outdoor rooms depicting the life & times of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt; Iwo Jima Statue: This memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in defense of the United States since 1775; The Kennedy Center, America’s living memorial to President Kennedy.March in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC*
