In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the All-City Band, the All-City Band Program in partnership with our booster group, The Friends of All-City Band, is putting together several great activities for friends, family, and community members.

• 2011 Band Jam: Friday, July 29th
  A FREE jamboree for marching bands and drumlines in Seattle to participate in the Torchlight Parade. The event runs from 6:00 – 9:00pm at Memorial Stadium and will feature the All-City Band, Sumner High School Marching Band,  Cranbrook Girls Bugle Band, Calgary Round Up Band, and the 10 Man Brass Band.
• Torchlight Parade: Saturday, July 30th
  This year we are working with Seafair to purchase a block of tickets to the Torchlight Parade for alumni interested in sitting together and cheering on the All-City Band. Pricing information should become available in May via the All-City website.
• Alumni Band Registration & Sightreading Session: Monday, August 1st
  Join the All-City Alumni Band!   This is the last night to register for the All-City Alumni Band. Participants will be able to pick up their packets of music, rent and instrument for the week from a local retailer who will be on-site and play through music we will be performing in the Lake City Parade the following weekend. Rehearsal will take place at Chief Sealth High School from 6:30 – 9:30pm.
• Alumni Band Rehearsal with Varsity Band: August 2nd – 4th
  Rehearsal will take place at Memorial Stadium from 6:30 – 9:00pm and will include full band music rehearsals, sectionals to help with the music, and review of the marching fundamentals (so wear comfortable shoes!). Alumni are welcome to use lyres for the rehearsals and the parade.
• 60th Anniversary Birthday Bash: Friday, August 5th
  The culminating event of our 60th Anniversary celebration will be a Gala Banquet held at the Brockey Center at South Seattle Community College. The evening will feature a fantastic dinner, student performances, a historical video, conversations with past directors, staff, and student members, and a no-host bar. Tickets are $55 until July 1, 2011 ($65 thereafter). Semi-formal attire requested.
• Lake City Parade
  This will be the big performance – the Alumni Band with the regular summer marching band entertaining in the Lake City Grand Seafair Parade. 7:00 – 8:00pm.
