Founded in 2009 by All‐City Band Director Marcus Pimpleton, Band Jam is an outdoor marching band jamboree where spectators can enjoy full performances of the marching bands many typically see only in passing on parade routes. This non-competitive event, held each year the night before Seattle’s Torchlight Parade, is free and open to the public as a celebration of what we all know to be the best part of any parade – the bands. This year’s event will feature performances by the Seattle All-City Band, the Seattle Sounders FC Soundwave Marching Band, the Rainbow City Band, Chaotic Noise Marching Corps, the Sumner High School Marching Band, and the John F. Kennedy High School Summer Marching Band. Please come out and support these outstanding groups.
Date: Friday, July 29, 2016. Performances will begin at 7:00PM at the Southwest Athletic Complex in West Seattle – 2601 SW Thistle St.
Come hungry! Concession stands will be open on site with proceeds from concession sales benefiting the Seattle Schools All-City Band.
For Band Directors
This is a non-competitive event to showcase your skills and have fun with the other bands. Each band should plan to do a 15 minute performance on the field at the Southwest Athletic Complex. If your band would like to participate, please send an email with the band name, number of participants, director’s name and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
