Support the All-City Band
Celebrating 70 Years of Pride & Entertainment
Dear Friends of the All-City Band,
This is going to be a very unusual summer for the Seattle All-City Marching Band. Every parade we traditionally participate in has been cancelled due to COVID-19. We are operating a shortened four-week summer season with only one performance – a reduced Band Jam event with two other bands on Saturday July 24th.
While this will be the lightest parade season in our history, it is also going to be one of the most expensive with nearly $9k in expenses connected with COVID-19 related changes (instrument specific PPE, a new sound system to accommodate social distancing requirements, arranger’s services for the field show).
With this in mind, and with it also being the 70th anniversary of the program, we are asking friends and alumni of the program that are able to do so, to consider making a financial donation to Friends of All-City Band. Our goal is to raise $10,000 this summer, which will cover all of the COVID-19 related cost increases.
We feel extremely fortunate that we are even able to put a band together this summer. We are approaching 130 students and look forward to seeing what they are able to do in just four short weeks. Thank you in advance to those who are able to give, as well as those who would like to but may not be in the position to do so at this time. It has been a rough couple of years, but the end is in sight.
